Nick joined Frontier as a consultant in the Energy practice in May 2022.
He combines a passion for decarbonisation with a curiosity for solutions to climate change and the different stakeholders' roles. He enjoys applying economics to solve problems in creative ways and can communicate complexity visually and in plain English.
Before joining Frontier, Nick was an Economist in the UK Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) advising on a range of issues in the low-carbon energy sector. He has extensive experience in detailed energy policy and analysis covering power sector modelling, feed-in tariff design and regulatory appraisal. Most recently he was the Head of the CCUS analysis team where he managed the analytical work programme supporting the design of business models to incentivise private sector investment in CCUS in the UK.
Nick holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and a BSc from Oxford Brookes University. He is currently completing a part-time MSc in Energy Systems & Data Analytics at University College London. He is based in Madrid and is fluent in English and Spanish.
