Northern Powergrid (NPg), wanted support in developing its submissions and trials under Ofgem’s funding schemes for low carbon innovation.

Ofgem runs annual competitions for funding projects that research and trial new smart grid innovations.

Hot propositions

As part of NPg’s flagship ‘Customer Led Network Revolution’ project, we developed customer propositions for a trial of smart tariffs for domestic and SME customers.

We also analysed data from the trials. This analysis aimed to understand  how customers with different smart home technologies might use energy in a future low carbon system.
