Frontier (Europe) has today published a new client briefing, ‘Two for the Price of One’, which looks at how the NHS can provide better care at a lower cost.

The NHS England Chief Executive, Simon Stevens, launched the Five Year Forward View earlier in the month, a report which highlighted a shared vision of the future of the NHS based around new care models. The report asked local health economies to develop new models of care that would improve patient outcomes and save money.

Many such models have since started to emerge, both as part of the Vanguard programme, but also independently. Many of the participating Trusts and commissioners are now at a key point when important decisions about governance, regulatory scrutiny and funding mechanisms need to made. Frontier’s briefing discusses these challenges and how these key points can be achieved.
