Frontier speaks on 5G developments at the IIC Annual Conference in Brussels

Martin Duckworth of Frontier today chaired a session on fifth generation mobile (5G) developments at the IIC Annual Conference in Brussels. The session included a panel with representatives from Ericsson, Juniper Networks, Vodacom and the City of London. The discussion covered the use cases that 5G technology was expected to address; the challenges in terms of technology, spectrum availability and infrastructure; and the regulatory intervention that could be required to enable 5G investment.

Established in 1969, the IIC is an independent, global, not for profit policy forum for the converging telecoms, media and technology industries within the emergent digital ecosystem. The IIC works to advance the debate and understanding of regulatory policy in the global communications industry through discussion, education and knowledge-sharing.

Frontier regularly advises clients on regulatory issues relating to mobile networks across Europe.
