E.ON subsdiary wins award in dispute over nuclear taxes

An international arbitration court decided that E.ON subsdiary PreussenElektra was not obliged to pay Belgian nuclear taxes amounting to EUR 321 million. PreussenElektra had entered into mutual electricity sale agreements with Electrabel (Belgium), under which each party agreed to sell portions of the output from their respective nuclear fleets to the other party. Frontier experts Dr Christoph Riechmann and Dan Roberts were engaged by Counsel for PreussenElektra to provide expert testimony in the case.

Frontier regularly provides expert testimony in energy sector investor state and commercial arbitrations.
