Frontier has today published a new bulletin “What’s in IT?”, focusing on the economics of trade reform.
Information Technology (IT) was one of the main subjects discussed at the latest World Economic Forum, held in Davos. It follows a recent initiative at the WTO to liberalise trade in IT goods, which could have significant economic benefits given the interaction between IT goods and services and other sectors. Frontier’s bulletin argues that these benefits offer a powerful reminder of the costs of protectionism, and shows why a proper focus on the evidence remains a priority both in spurring domestic reforms and persuading WTO Members to engage with multilateral liberalisation.
Frontier regularly advises public and private sector clients on issues relating to trade, growth and technology.
