Charles Lawless

Charles joined Frontier’s Dublin office in 2023 and works in the Competition and Energy practices. 

His projects have covered a range of issues, including mergers, cartel damages litigation, energy price controls and decarbonisation.

In competition, Charles supports clients and legal teams with economic analysis across merger control and dispute work. This includes developing evidence for  competition authority processes, quantifying damages in complex litigation, and advising on settlement strategy in cartel follow-on disputes.

In energy, he has supported network companies in preparing submissions for regulatory price control reviews, including developing economic evidence and analysis on costs, outputs and investment plans. He has also undertaken analysis and research on approaches to delivering net zero, including options for network investment and regulatory frameworks.

Charles holds a Masters in Applied Economics and a BCL in Law with Economics from University College Dublin.
