Rachel is a Director at Frontier specialising in competition policy and litigation, at both a UK and EC level.
Rachel is experienced across all aspects of competition policy and has led cases falling under EC and UK merger control, UK market investigations, Chapter I and Chapter II of the UK Competition Act 1998 and EC State Aid rules. Rachel advises clients across a broad range of industries. She has particular experience in merger analysis and market investigations, and has led many clients to successful outcomes. Two high profile cases in which she has led the economic advice are the merger between SSE’s and Npower’s retail energy businesses in the UK (UK CMA 2018) and the Flutter Entertainment/Stars Group merger (UK CMA 2020) acting for Ladbrokes. Rachel also acted as an economic expert for the CMA in the defence of its first “pay-for-delay” case in generic medicines where she testified before the UK Competition Appeals Tribunal.
