Ian is a Senior Principal specialising in regulatory finance, helping regulated infrastructure companies understand how regulatory frameworks, risk and financing interact to support long-term investment.
Ian advises regulated infrastructure companies on financial and regulatory issues, with a particular focus on balance of risk and return, financeability, financial resilience and cost of capital. He combines regulatory finance expertise with practical experience of corporate finance, treasury and capital markets, giving him a strong understanding of how regulatory decisions translate into outcomes for companies, investors and customers.
Ian holds an MSc in Finance with distinction from London Business School and a BSc in Finance, summa cum laude, from the University of Delaware. He is a CFA charterholder and Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and also holds the GARP Certificate in Sustainability and Climate Risk.
