Following the decision by the General Court of the EU in relation to the GB capacity market, GB power generators, interconnectors, Demand Side Response (DSR) and storage providers would have gone into Christmas this year deprived of capacity payments they expected to receive.  In this briefing, Frontier and Lane Clark & Peacock (LCP)  provide the context behind the Court’s ruling and comment on the implications of the standstill period the ruling has imposed, commercially and for the system as a whole.
