Frontier welcomes Amanda Rowlatt CBE to the Public Policy practice

Frontier Economics is pleased to announce the appointment of former senior civil servant and economist, Amanda Rowlatt CBE, as an Associate in the Public Policy practice. 

Amanda has a wealth of experience working across several ministerial departments over a 30 year career. She joins from the Department for Transport, where she had been Chief Analyst since 2014.  

Amanda’s work has covered policy areas including transport, economic regulation, enterprise development, science and innovation, higher and further education, international development, employment and welfare. She also has longstanding expertise in investment appraisal, market analysis and data development.   

We are delighted to welcome Amanda to Frontier and the Public Policy practice. Amanda’s wide ranging knowledge of policy across four government departments will bring a unique perspective to the complex issues we work on for clients. Her focus will be to support our teams to deliver innovative, impactful analysis.

Amanda’s previous roles include: Chief Analyst at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills; Chief Economist and Director for Families and Child Poverty at the Department for Work and Pensions;  Chief Economist at the Competition Commission; and Chief Economist at the Office for National Statistics.  

Amanda is also Deputy Chair of Brunel University, Vice Chair of CNWL NHS trust, a member of the Jersey Fiscal Policy Panel and on the Council of the National Institute for Economic and Social Research. Amanda was awarded a CBE in 2011.
