We are pleased to announce that we have reaffirmed our support for the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), which covers the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.
Frontier has proudly supported the UNGC since 2014 and appreciates the important role that businesses play in promoting sustainability and reaching development goals.
As the world’s most significant corporate sustainability initiative, the UNGC aims to use business as a force for good by encouraging businesses to commit and share responsibility in making the world a better place.
This year, we continue to make progress across the four key areas the UNGC is based on. Some key highlights are detailed below:
Human rights principles
- Our projects are assessed against UNGC principles.
- A robust supplier code of conduct is in place to ensure suppliers are aware of the standards we expect.
- Guidance is issued and updated by our CSR team with information on how Frontier staff should consider ethical issues in projects.
- We have a policy which supports staff with health conditions and disabilities by adjusting working conditions.
- Frontier staff have launched an employee-led network, Brilliance, which supports staff with disabilities and health conditions.
- Frontier has established links with external coaches and mentors to ensure staff feel supported at all times.
- Multiple green initiatives are in place to reduce the need or impact of travel, reduce waste and recycling and save energy and other natural resources.
- Over the last year our carbon footprint has decreased significantly, however Frontier has offset the same volume of emissions as incurred in the previous 12-month period.
- Regular training is in place for Frontier staff on ‘Anti-Bribery’, ‘Anti-money laundering’, ‘Modern slavery’ and ‘Whistleblowing’.
- Strict policies are in place covering anti-bribery and anti-corruption, alongside a zero-tolerance approach to upholding standards in these areas.
