Two new non-executive directors join Frontier Economics

Frontier Economics are delighted to announce the appointment of two new Non-executive directors, Marieke Bax and David Aitman.

Marieke and David will join the board from July 2020 replacing Julia Chain who has been on the Frontier board since 2013.

Marieke had an international executive career in consumer goods at Sara Lee Corporation and as a founding partner of a governance and communication consulting firm in the Netherlands. She is currently  member of a number of other boards including Vastned Retail, Fastned and Vion Food plus the Law Faculty of the University of Amsterdam.  Her key areas of focus include etailing/e-commerce, fintech and agritech, with wide ranging experience with innovation and change projects. Marieke also ran the Dutch government’s diversity programme. 

David retires next month from his role as partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.  David spent 20 years at Freshfields where he specialised in all areas of UK and EU competition law. He has particular expertise in the energy, manufacturing, media, retail, transport and telecoms sectors. David also led Freshfields as the global managing partner from 2013-2016.
